Nathan Ingram, owner and operator of Sour Street Pizza, was born and raised in Norfolk, Virginia, where his passion for cooking over an open flame was ignited. When the global pandemic struck, Nathan found himself experimenting with pizza on his Big Green Egg. Starting with a sourdough starter, he embraced the challenge of creating naturally leavened dough. Friends and neighbors couldn’t get enough of the results, which inspired Nathan to take his hobby to the next level. While many abandoned sourdough during the quarantine craze, Nathan leaned in. He quit his corporate IT job and dedicated himself to turning his passion into a profession. What began with a wood-fired pizza oven on the back of a trailer has now flourished into a thriving business, culminating in the opening of Sour Street Pizza's first brick-and-mortar location. Nathan's journey is a testament to hard work, creativity, and a commitment to constant growth. Serving his hometown of Norfolk Virginia, he is proud to share his dream-turned-reality with the community.
